Our Story
Vicolo (Veek.oh.lo), from the Italian for "little alley" was named for our original location in San Francisco. Out of that little alley, we've earned our reputation for rustic, handmade, corn meal crust pizzas topped with freshly prepared seasonal ingredients. Inspired by centuries old Italian cooking traditions, our crust combines freshly ground non-GMO organic corn meal, unbleached wheat flour, and extra virgin olive oil to create a distinctively rich taste and texture.
The original Vicolo restaurant in San Francisco (201 Ivy Street) closed on January 1, (date) after 20 years of operation. Thank you for your support.
In (date), we made the transition to the wholesale business, opening a manufacturing plant in Pao Alto and selling our pizzas in grocery stores. We later moved to our current location in Hayward, from which we continue to bring you the Original San Francisco Cornmeal Crust Pizzas that you love.
